2017 Year In Review

How has 2017 come and gone already?! The older I get, the faster the years seem to fly by, but 2017 felt especially fast. This year had its fair share of challenges for me and for Greg, and we're both welcoming the fresh start a new year brings. At the top of the list was my decision to take a break from television to focus my full energy on writing. While this was something I wanted to do for awhile, the internal battle I felt while making that decision weighed heavily on me, and the uncertainty that's crept in at times since taking that leap of faith has led to its fair share of tears and doubt. But I've been learning to embrace the friction that comes with doing something new, and entering 2018, it feels as though I am finally ready to step out of one season and into another, full of possibilities and change, and I'm excited to see what's next!

Despite some of the challenges, 2017 held so many wonderful moments that I'll cherish forever, and I am so grateful for the life I have and the loved ones I get to share it with. The places we visited and the friends and family we connected with along the way were definitely the highlights of my year.  We started off the year visiting both coasts with long weekends in Los Angeles and NYC, before hitting the slopes in Park City. As the year went on, we had a graduation in Texas, Memorial Day in Rhode Island, and our yearly trips to Montana and New Hampshire during the summer months. I also got to visit The Greenbrier in West Virginia with my mom and spent a few days in Colorado in October, before ending the year in Florida and New York celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with family. But without a doubt, the highlight of the year was spending two weeks with Greg in Italy, Germany and Austria this fall. I'm so thankful for all the memories we created this year and can't wait to explore new places in 2018.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me, and hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from our adventures in 2017 below! I am grateful for your support, and wish you a happy and healthy new year!
